Kaikōrero narration

Description

In Whanganui, Taranaki, parts of Te Tai Tokerau, and Te Waipounamu (where it is also known as Puaka), Puanga (Rigel) is the marker of the Māori New Year rather than Matariki. The official MCH framing is "Matariki mā Puanga" — Puanga is a peer marker, never "South Island Matariki". Acknowledged on every OMX surface; never erased.
